Description
A World Series Champion will be crowned this weekend at the 8th annual Cajun World Series at the Broussard Sports Complex and Youngsville Sports Complex in the Lafayette, LA area. This 4-game guarantee World Series event is open to 9u -14u teams. With all-turf fields that can withstand the elements to guarantee a great World Series, and GameChanger stats for every game, players will enjoy top-notch conditions and real-time performance tracking.
Our onsite director ensures a well-run event, featuring awards like Home Run Chains, Championship Rings, and Tournament MVP rings. Plus, we’ll recognize the top statistical performers from the weekend on our social media accounts following the event. Don’t miss this chance for exceptional competition and memorable moments.

Defensive Skills Competition/Opening Ceremonies: Wednesday, June 18- Registration by COACHES ONLY no later than Monday, June 16.
Featured guest speaker at the opening ceremony is Head Coach of the Ragin Cajuns, Matt Deggs!
Tournament Format: All pool play games will be played as open division. Teams will be split into brackets according to pool standings (number of teams in each division will determine the number of brackets)
9AA, 10u Open, 11u Open, 12AA, 12 Open, 13AA, 14 Open- 2 Pool games to double elimination
9 Open, 11AA, and 13 Open- 3 Pool games to single elimination
Pay at the Plate: 9u-12u: $55; 13u-14u:$60
Cashless Gate: Debit, Credit, ApplePay or Google Pay. No cash accepted.
Admission Fee: Daily entry is $16, $12 military and senior citizen or $60 NONREFUNDABLE Tournament Pass, 10 & Under FREE. Skills Competition entry is included in the Weekend Pass IF purchased at the Skills Competition on Wednesday. Skills Competition ONLY tickets $5.
*Opening Ceremonies* New to 2025, we will have our first opening ceremonies featuring UL-Lafayette Head Coach Matt Deggs as our guest speaker. Opening ceremonies and skills competition will take place at the new expansion at Youngsville Sports Complex.
Schedule of Events:
4:30-5:00pm team check in at the gate
5:00-5:15pm teams line up behind the stage
5:15-6:00pm teams are announced and come on stage

Skills Competition is a skill event that allows the entire team to participate in the team defense session and also individual kids nominated to participate in the Fastest Man.
Team Defensive Session (Around the Horn): The pitcher will throw the ball to the catcher to start the clock and the clock stops when the left fielder throws the ball to the catcher and the catcher steps on home plate.
Pitcher>Catcher>3rd>2nd>SS>1st>RF>CF>LF>Catcher
Fastest Man: 40 yard dash.

4 DAY PITCHING:
4 day pitching rules are slightly different than regular tournament rules.
9u-12u players are allowed to throw 145 pitches in 4 days and 13u-14u can throw
155 in 4 days.
If a player throws more than 35 pitches they must have one day
of rest. The one day maximum for 9u-12u is 75 pitches and 13u-14u is 85
pitches.
Stay under 35 and the player can throw consecutive days; go over 35
and sit one day. Once a player gets to his 4 day maximum he is done for the
tournament.
**No player can pitch 4 straight days**
